Kindly ensure that all props are well protected with rubber covers that no part of the prop will cause damage or scratch the dance floor.
Please trainers kindly advise us of any scratchings as soon as possible as this has a huge impact on the program and affects the time schedule tremendously. This impact on all dancers including your own when the schedule starts to run ahead of time.
Dancers to be in the Marshal area 90 minutes before the starting time of your section: Dancers must be ready to perform 1½ hours before the scheduled start of the category. We will seriously try to keep to the posted schedule in the program and in the Marshalling Area. But according to the numerous dancers participating there could be some delays or a faster running time of the event. The onus is on the dancers to make sure that they are in the marshalling area 1½ hour before start of their section, we will not be constantly announcing for dancer(s) to come to the marshalling area. The Marshalling area for dancers to wait to be lined up is situated at the entrance of Door 6.
Please do not leave the Sun City Super Bowl before the next round has been announced and/or published and you know if your dancer(s) are in the next round - or a re-dance needs to take place.
When a dancer/group is announced and they are not ready to go on stage to compete, they will only be called three times in total. If they are still not available then they will be taken out of the start list and will not be allowed to dance. We cannot wait for dancers who are late.
This parade is for ALL dancers who participated in the competition.
We would kindly request that dancers wear their Team Jackets or Team Tracksuits to represent their countries.
Please note that should any of your dancers make the finals for the Thursday – the music will be the ORGANISERS music for solos, duos and small groups.
Your OWN music will be required for Large Groups and Lines.
IMPORTANT NOTE: While the competition is in progress, NO tap shoes can be worn in the warm up area. You may warm up with your tap shoes on in the “CHAIR STORE” dressing room.
Should any dancers be caught with tap shoes on, in any other area of the entertainment center, especially in the bathrooms and ANY tiled area, this will result in a fine/ replacement value of damaged areas from Sun City which the dancer will be responsible for. The security has been instructed by Sun City to monitor this situation very closely. Due to the recent refurbishment of the entertainment centre, Sun City has instructed us to advise all trainers and dancers and parents of this situation. As you are all aware, the tap shoes cause extensive damage to the tiles and any damage will be to the dancers account. Dancers are to wear takkies, socks over shoes, everywhere unless they are about to take the floor.
We appreciate your full co-operation in this regard.
